The 3 Simple Steps to Getting your Clients “Property Staged”
Each property is unique; homes vary in size, design and décor so it is impossible for us to propose a dollar amount before viewing a property. Our suggestions are always made in the best interest of your client and their budget, which is why we always start with a home staging consultation. Generally, preparing a house involves de-cluttering, organizing, cleaning and sometimes minor renovations; with the proper guidance, your client will be on the right track of knowing what needs to be done. This consult starts from the exterior curb appeal and goes throughout the whole home. The consultation may last up to 2 hours but holds no minimum time. For most consultations, verbal recommendations and general notes are given onsite. If needed, we do offer rush staging jobs to ensure your listing is shown at its best.
1. Consultation – Your client takes us on a general tour of you’re the property, giving the stager a better understanding and idea of how we can show the property at its best. If required, we may help them move some items to help save time and show them the impact staging can make. Once completed, the stager will then walk through the house completing a room by room checklist and taking any before pictures if needed. Once the assessment is complete, your client is left with a list of our recommendations.
2. Recommendations – It is then up to your client to decide on what work they would like to complete themselves, or if they need Decor Innovation Designs to complete or source out.
Option A - With the recommendations in hand, they have the option to implement some or all of the changes themselves.
Option B – Prefer us to take over? Not a problem! This is what we love to do and why we are in this business. We can provide your clients with a free estimate to complete all or part of the recommendations. A customized package is created based on the services you will require.
3. Final Touch Staging – Once the recommendations are complete, it’s time for the most important step, the final touch staging. We return to the property and tweak anything we feel necessary before the final listing photographs are taken. (1 hour maximum, no minimum time.) Depending on the size of the property.
